FIRMAN Contributes to 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar

The 22nd FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar in 2022. SUMEC, with its FIRMAN Diesel Generating Sets featuring unique designs specific to desert climates, elaborate workmanship and comprehensive service, stood out from a large number of suppliers to become a partner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar to provide emergency power support equipment.

Qatar has a tropical desert climate, making the country a hot and dry place. The temperature difference between day and night can reach 55℃ and the environment is dusty and windy. Therefore, the competition committee placed high requirements of performance on the diesel generating sets needed to provide emergency power, thus ensuring that the power supply system for competition news broadcasting will not fail under any circumstance. To meet the requirements, the generating sets have to be able to offer uninterruptible power supply under heavy load by ensuring stable and efficient power output even under adverse local weather conditions.

Considering the climate in Qatar and the demands for a product with high stability, SUMEC has opted to utilize its self-developed FAD Air Duct Optimization System for the case of the generator which is already characterized by low fuel consumption, low emission, low noise and ease of maintenance. As a result, significant improvements have been achieved in protection against sandstorms and output power stability, marking another breakthrough in both technology and product performance. At the same time, SUMEC insists on the concepts of “providing great service even for small products” and offering the sponsor a package of service from product design, equipment manufacturing, on-site installation and commissioning, personnel training to a 24-hour response service, thus creating a high-grade project that ensures optimal customer experience throughout the process.
